Top Ten Special: Places to Go IV

Mark Twain once wrote “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” So here are just a few places I would love to see anytime soon..

Israel – one of the countries I would love to visit, especially Jerusalem’s Old City. Something I don’t want to miss is swimming in the Dead Sea.

Maldives –  Sun, sand and sea – I am so looking forward to going there.

Salvation Mountain (Niland, CA, USA) –  Since 1985 Leonard Knight has been painting and repainting his message that “God Loves Everyone” on the sides of the Salvation Mountain. It is an amazing place with a lot of bright colors. The weirdness of it all is just worth a visit.

Route 66 – “If you ever plan to motor west, Travel my way, that’s the highway that’s the best, Get your kicks on Route 66. It winds from Chicago to L.A. More than 2,000 miles all the way, Get your kicks on Route 66.”

Uluru, Australia – I have been to Australia a few times now and was never able to stop at Ayers Rock. My next trip to Down Under will definitely include a stop in the heart of Australia.

Neuschwanstein Castle (Germany) –  A fairy tale castle in Bavaria.

Istanbul – a unique link between east and west which is a must see place.
