Tapas, cheese and wine – Spanish flair in Berlin

July 13, 2011

by Charlie

The chances that you end up in the busy and bustling Bergmannstreet while visiting Berlin are pretty high. For a break from all the walking and shopping take a stoll around two corners to the picturesque Chamissoplatz and have a break at COLIBRI, a little Spanish tapas restaurant. Enjoy the silence and the view at all the old buildings with their blooming balconies. Pamper your palate with a glass of wine and e.g. the red rice with spinach and feta.  ¡buen provecho!

Peter Lindbergh “On Street”

by Maya

Two weeks ago I spent a weekend in Berlin and among other wonderful things Charlie, Kaede and I visited Peter Lindbergh’s On Street exhibition at the C/O Berlin. Among the more than 200 photographs are Lindbergh’s legendary works which made him famous but also some rather unknown pieces. The exhibition is a definite must for lovers of black and white and fashion photography and it is open until January 2011.

It is hot. It is insanely hot. It is summer.

Enjoy a cool vanilla ice cream with hot figs and green pepper at next to a varied choice of Cajun dishes.

If you plan on staying in Berlin there is a hostel right next to the restaurant.

Moonlight Tango-Dancing in Berlin

July 4, 2010

by Charlie:

Happy Sunday my dear goddesses!

It’s summer. It’s hot! It’s the best time to loose yourself in good music and dancing.

Last night I went to an open air tango event at Strandbar Nr. 1 right in the centre of Berlin with a breathtaking view on the Spree River and the Museumsinsel at night.

I was on my own and I had the blast of the weekend after a very cruel working week. It was inspiring and very entertaining to watch some really experienced couples to float with the music… And if you are lucky to meet a man who can lead, dancing as a beginner will feel like you’ve danced for years 😉

Grab your best summer dress, put your high heels on and go out.

Summertime is ice cream time.

If you want to know how “Bombay Nights”, “ “Pink Revolution” or “Pearls of the Kalif” feel on your tounge, you should visit “Caramello” in Friedrichshain in Berlin. This tiny ice cream parlor offers the yummyiest ice cream in town. It’s all organic and you can even pick some vegan sorts.

Enjoy! And let us know, what you tried… 😉
