It’s a HURRICANE, Baby!

Hello everyone. Browsing the web for musical inspiration I found this:

Hurricane is an annual Alternative Rock Festival which takes place in a small town near Hamburg (its twin Southside is organized in Southern Germany). I went to Hurricane in 2002 and 2004 and it was pretty awesome. This year’s lineup sounds really cool and I guess it might appeal to everyone on this blog.

I would love to see:

– The Strokes: somehow I didn’t like them when they were big 6 years ago, but I recently listened to Julian Casablanca’s “Little Girl” for “Dark Night of the Soul” and instantly loved it

– Mando Diao: they are a Hurricane classic since I already saw them there in 2004

– Skunk Anansie: really loved them in the 90s, would like to listen to their new stuff

– Phoenix: French boys who can actually sing in English

– Florence and the Machine: they were recommended by The Funky One

– The XX: they were on Kaede’s Top Ten Sexiest Songs list

The tickets cost 120 € which is still a pretty decent price for 3 days (18th– 20th June 2010).

So, who would like to join me???

I would love to go but I don’t think I’ll make it. I’ll be busy with flying 😉
